Our centre actively supports the ongoing professional development of all staff members through their attendance at courses, seminars, workshops and conferences. Staff are also encouraged to expand their knowledge with professional reading. Fortnightly staff meetings provide an opportunity for discussion, planning and further professional development.
At times staff members may be away from the Centre due to sickness, leave, in-service courses, or meetings. At all times staffing requirements and adult to child ratios are maintained in accordance with the Department of Community Services regulations.
Arndu St. Paul's Pre-school adheres to the Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics for quality early childhood practice. We also ensure that there is at least one staff member on the premises who holds a current first Aid Certificate.
Staff are at the centre from 8:20 to 4:00pm. The times before 9am and after 3pm are set aside for administration, programming, cleaning, preparation of materials for the program, setting the environment up, staff liaison, prayer and formal staff meetings. |
